St. Geroge’s and her people and very precious to me. She provides me with a Christ-centered
community of friends who freely offer me comfort when needed, and I receive spiritual guidance
weekly from the wonderful services – it is where I feel most at home outside my own home. A
cradle Episcopalian, I have been a communicant of St. George’s since transferring my membership
from Kingsport, TN in 1987. It has been my privilege and joy to wear many hats over the years:
having served two terms on the Vestry, sat on three search committees for organist/choir masters,
organized the Coffee Hour after church from about 2010-Covid, partnered with Margaret Morley to
create the online pictorial directory which I maintain, and brought the church library up to date and
online. Currently I am a member of the Coventry Choir (and have been since 1986) and I also serve
as the choir’s music librarian, I play clarinet in Sanctifica, participate in the Knitting Ministry, am a
Laundry Angel for Room-in-the Inn, operate the Shopify site for the No Sweat Soiree, and am a
member of the Pastoral Care Committee.
