Rhea Clift

My family joined St. George’s in 1977. St. George’s has been a large part of my life for my entire life. My father ushered for many years and I was confirmed here in 1978. EYC was an important part of my high school years. Some of the friends I made then are still friends today. I taught Sunday School to the high school students while I was in law school. I have served on the Vestry three times. I have been on most every committee at least once. My favorite committees are altar guild and flower committee. Presently, I am a Lay Eucharist Minister, Lector and a member of DOK. One of the best things I have ever done at St. George’s is EFM. It is a big commitment, but so worth it. As for education, I was graduated from Hutchison, Vanderbilt University and the University of Memphis Law School. For 33 years I was a prosecuting attorney for the State of Tennessee. In August of 2024 I was elected Judge in Germantown. My father was judge here for 40 years and I am the first daughter to succeed her father to the same bench in the same city.
