Creator God, who pours out your Spirit on all flesh, and transforms hearts and minds, conform our hearts and minds to your will and strengthen our faith, that we may have the patience to know you are in control, so that we may come together as one in service of you and St. George’s, through Jesus Christ our LORD, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
We look forward to seeing who God calls to lead St. George’s. We are blessed with many continuing and new ministries, and our next Rector will lead us in discerning the best way to continue those ministries and to develop new ways to carry out our mission. As we continue on this journey of finding our next Rector whom God will call to St. George’s, we ask for your prayers and for your input. The discernment committee can be reached via email. Friday, July 11, was the deadline for receipt of applications for St. George’s rector position, and Sunday, July 13, Canon to the Ordinary, Rob Courtney, met with the Discernment Committee (D.C.) to present us with a list of applicants. The committee is reviewing the applications and will begin interviews when the review is complete. On Sunday, July 20, John Planchon, D.C. chair, reported on the committee’s activities and the status of our search.
