The Friends of Music organization is dedicated to promoting the musical arts in the church and community by supporting outstanding performances at St. George’s Church.
Friends of Music programs are supported by donations from parishioners and visitors alike.
As part of the construction of the new Church complex, St. George's has commissioned the construction of a wonderful new pipe organ with Goulding & Wood, a top-notch organ builder in Indianapolis. When completed, it will have 55 ranks (rows of pipes).
For general information on the company, visit the Goulding and Wood website.

Music plays a vital role in the worship and liturgy at St. George’s. The power of music to connect heart and mind and to elevate the spirit cannot be denied. To encourage growth in faith, one must be continually challenged and involved in the pursuit thereof; like-wise, a similar approach is taken with music.
The traditional, classically-based program provides three choirs for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Our wind and brass ensemble, Sanctifica, provides provides music for worship and fellowship throughout the church year, as well as its own featured annual concert. Exultemus!, a guitar and vocal ensemble, is open to those interested in contemporary music programs. Please see the Choirs & Music Groups section to learn more about each program we offer.
It is the mission of the music program to provide quality choral and instrumental music of all centuries that inspires and stretches both the listener and the musician in worship.
