Welcome Kids, Youth & Parents!

The formation of our children as Christians is of utmost importance here at St. George’s. To that end, we have many and varied ministry offerings that help our children grow as Christians in the world today, and we encourage our families to take full advantage of those. Through our worship ministries (acolytes, choirs, lectors), our children and youth learn about how we worship and take their place among adults as worship leaders. Through our formation opportunities (Sunday School, Children’s Chapel), our children and youth learn the stories of the scriptures, and how those stories shape our lives today. Through fun fellowship opportunities (The Table, EYC, family nights), our children and youth learn to grow in community with one another. And through opportunities for families to serve our community together (More Than a Meal, Labor of Love, Operation Backpack, Room in the Inn, and others), our children and youth learn that when we love God and love others, we change the world. We invite you to check out the many opportunities for our children, youth and families to take part in the whole of the life of St. George’s!

EYC provides a variety of programs for the Junior and Senior High youth.

Check back often to see what we are up to next! | EYC Calendar of Events

The Table - The Table gives families of children and youth the opportunity to get to know one another better over a shared meal, fellowship and a brief time of informal learning on the second Wednesday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Children's choirs: The St. Cecelia and Canterbury Choirs provide an opportunity to sing and learn about music for children from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Acolyte teams - These teams serve during the Eucharists on Sunday and play an important role during our services.

G-GIFFT - Girls - Growing in Faith and Freindship Together - A group for girls ages 8 -12 that meets monthly during the school year to have fun and get to know each other better.

Junior Daughters of the King - This group is for older girls who may find their place in committing their lives to prayer and service. Youth are invited to take part in a wide range of fellowship and learning opportunities for 7th – 12th graders. And all families with children and youth are invited to join us at The Table, a once-monthly time of fellowship and learning, generally held on the second Wednesday evening of each month.

Parents, please take a moment to check out all of our offerings, from the menu on the right.

Kim is brimming with ideas and energy and we welcome her to the SGEC staff. Please welcome Kim  - and volunteer to help her as needed with our family and children’s programs because it takes much more than just one “coordinator” to make these programs successful! We look forward to your family's attendance and support of our Children's and Family ministry programs.
