Bookshoppe Volunteers
Did you know…

  1. The Bookshoppe was started in 1995 as a ministry to church members and the local community.
  2. It is run entirely by volunteers and all profits go to the church and local ministries.
  3. We currently support local artists by giving them a place to display and sell their work.
  4. As a volunteer you have the pleasure of working in a stress-free, friendly environment AND getting a 10% discount on all your own purchases.

We welcome volunteers to keep this wonderful ministry going, and whether you want to work only a few hours a year, a few hours a week, or something in between, we have a job for you. Please join us! We would love to have you.

Books for Children & Adults

Because we are a church bookstore, we want to highlight some of our readings for spiritual reflection — we have a great selection, including children’s books, seasonal resources and meditation resources for every day.

Some of our newer children’s selections include:
Where Is God?, Prayers for Each and Every Day, Images of God, and a series of 3 books that answer questions common to all children: Where Does God Live?, Does God Hear My Prayer?, and Does God Ever Sleep?

For more mature readers, we have Robert Benson’s That We May Perfectly Love Thee and Living Prayer, Betty Smartt Carter’s Home Is Always the Place You Just Left, Linda Douty’s How Can I Let Go When I Don’t Know I’m Holding On?, Jeremy Langford’s Seeds of Faith: Practices to Grow a Healthy Spiritual Life, and Barbara Brown Taylor’s An Altar in the World.

We carry a selection of Bibles:
New Revised Standard Version, The Message (a contemporary interpretation) and New International Version.

We also carry the Book of Common Prayer in everyday, and leather versions suitable for engraving, and the Book of Common Prayer/Hymnal.
